Dear Founders, Partners, and Friends of The Cancer Connection Idaho,

We want to let you in on some exciting news from the Cancer Connection.  Our original Executive Director, Kari May, has decided to take leave of her position in order to spend time with her children. We are happy for her, though we already miss her. Gina Borud has agreed to join us for a few months as our Interim Executive Director. You may know her from her work with the Idaho Meth Project or in her consulting company, Design Scribble. Gina joined us this week and has jumped in with great enthusiasm! This is a positive change that gives us the gift of time to take stock of our terrific growth, goals and strategy and recruit an Executive Director that can help us to continue our great progress forward as an organization. Gina will be helping us with that. Toward the end of the calendar year, after confirming or revising our structure, we will recruit a new Executive Director.
The programs for our clients continue: movement and mindfulness themes have been added. Click here for our October calendar.

Meet Gina Borud!

Gina has been assisting clients with their graphic design and communications needs for over 15 years and has worked in the nonprofit sector for eight. She served as Communications Director for a nonprofit music school in the Boston area, managing the organization’s public relations, marketing and graphic design needs. Most recently she worked as Executive Director for the Idaho Meth Project, managing the organization’s operations, media and communications campaigns and strategic direction. Working with individuals, small businesses, nonprofit organizations and startups is Gina’s specialty. She enjoys helping clients develop their brands, augment their marketing, build their missions and create strategies to ensure long-term sustainability and success.
Gina holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Boston University and a BA in Music and Graphic Design from the College of Idaho. In her spare time she enjoys supporting local arts and culture, traveling, cooking and gardening, and playing in the great Idaho outdoors. Gina resides in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Matt.
