Carolina became interested in occupational therapy when she was in high school. She used to volunteer in many rehabilitation centers in Honduras where she is from originally. It was always rewarding for her to see how therapeutic intervention could make a big difference in people’s lives.

As a kid, she broke both her wrists and had hand therapy treatment which helped her so much. When she was in graduate school, she met hand surgeons through some clinical rotations and was invited to see some surgeries. She was fascinated with how complex the hand and wrist is and knew then she would be interested in working with hands and upper extremities particularly.

She is happy to work in a company where it allows her to do what she loves to do and it also gives her the flexibility to be a mom of 2 wonderful boys 9 and 5. Idaho became her home in 2005 after marrying an Idaho native. Her family enjoys the outdoors especially skiing in the winter.
