Question: When I have an injury, do I use ice or heat?
Answer: If you have a strain or sprain, the rule of thumb for acute injuries is to intermittently put ice on it for the first 72
hours. This will help reduce inflammation caused from the injury. Ice helps minimize inflammation while constricting
blood vessels. Heat will dilate the blood vessels and cause additional inflammation. Please contact Shaun at our STARS
