Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS) is currently seeking a PRN (on call or as needed) Licensed Massage Therapist. Main responsibilities include providing therapeutic massage to community, clients, or hospital staff.

The Massage Therapist also participates in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of clients. Supports and communicates with clients, and other appropriate persons as needed. Maintains client charts using the standard S.O.A.P. charting system.

Skills, knowledge, education and experience:

1. High School graduate or equivalency (GED) required.

2. Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy program with a minimum of 350 hours of instruction required.

3. Current Boise City licensure required.

4. Knowledge and effective application of therapeutic massage techniques including, but not limited to: Swedish; Deep-tissue; and Trigger-point.

5. Knowledge of appropriate techniques and contraindications for massaging clients with these conditions/limitations (but not limited to): Prenatal; Ante partum; Post-partum; Cancer; Diabetes; Geriatric; Post-operative; and Sports (or other) injury.

6. Has had instruction on how to work with clients using an interpreter.
