Dufur, Kathy,

Kathy McConnell-Dufur

As with most therapists that Kathy McConnell-Dufur work with, her interest in physical therapy started after sustaining a sports injury. In high school, she injured her knee playing basketball resulting in surgery and the need for physical therapy. The therapy team Kathy worked with really kept her motivated during a difficult time as an athlete. With the excellent care she received, she was able to go on and play collegiate basketball and decided to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Kathy attended Seattle Pacific University and Eastern Oregon University where she earned her degree in Biology and a certificate in Athletic Training. She then attended graduate school for physical therapy at the University of Puget Sound. After working in the Tacoma area for several years, she was happy to return home to Idaho and quickly realized how much she missed and loves this area.

Kathy worked with the same core group of therapists for the past thirteen years and with the excellent therapists that have joined us along the way, she feels that we have developed a community environment here at STARS Nampa. She was fortunate to be able to help patients with their orthopedic issues and post-surgical rehabilitation.
