March is Brain Injury Awareness Month! This is a very significant focus for Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS). STARS has been awarded an accreditation for our Brain Injury program for both adults, adolescents, and children by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation is the public seal of trust and commitment to quality. Essentially, CARF ensures that patients receive the best care possible in the most effective and efficient manner.

The Saint Alphonsus Heath System/Saint Alphonsus Rehabiliation Services (STARS) continuum of care is the only system of care in the Intermountain West that provides a complete continuum of care for people recovering from concussions and more severe brain injuries. Saint Alphonsus is the only level 2 Trauma Hospital in the Treasure Vally region. The Brain Injury Program at STARS provides a comprehensive/interdisciplinary rehabilitation services to people who have sustained a brain injury.

March is also the month to celebrate National Doctores Day on March 30th! Thsi day was created to show appreciation to your Doctors. We suggest you simply tell your doctor that you appreciate all that they do for you and your health.

Please feel free to share this healthy advice with your friends and family. We care about your health and wellness and please know that if there are any “bumps” along the way we are here for your therapy needs.
