We had a great time at the Onward Shay! Boise Marathon! The race was a huge success and all who were involved had a great time! Saint Alphonsus Sports Medicine provided the medical coverage to the participants and good thing they did! Due to the rainy weather conditions, we had a few hypothermic runners but luckily, nothing else major other than the common sprains, strains and muscle cramps. The packet-pickup expo at JUMP (Jack’s Urban Meeting Place) was a huge success and over 1200 people came flooding in the doors to see what the vendors had to offer at the expo! The participants were able to sample protein ice cream, energy bars, Jersey Mike’s subs, and many other tasty healthy options. Running shoe brands like New Balance, Saucony, Adidas, etc were also there and available for purchase. George Hirsch and other running legends like Bill Rodgers, Frank Shorter, Dick Andersen, Bart Yasso, Joann Samuelson, and many others were there to speak with the participants.
