Heather Sullivan, OTR/L

Heather Sullivan OTR/L has practiced occupational therapy since 1991. She joined the STARS Brain Injury program as a PRN therapist in June of 2011, and became a full time employee in June 2012. She specializes in treating people who are recovering from traumatic brain injury, stroke or other neurological diagnoses.

Heather is an integral member of interdisciplinary professionals who address cognitive, visual, and motor skills as well as assisting with patients to return to daily activities in the home, community and return to work. Heather has completed multiple hours of continuing education to gain the following certifications:

  • Neuro-Ifrah Certification Course in the Treatment and Management of Adults with Hemiplegia from a Stroke or Brain Injury: November 2011 (98 hours)
  • Neuro-Ifrah Advanced Upper Extremity: 2012
    (Neuro-Integrative Functional Rehabilitation and Habilitation (NEURO-IFRAH®) is an approach originated by Waleed Al-Oboudi, MOT, OTR/L)
  • Saebo Certified Therapist with advanced status as a SaeboStar therapist. She has extensive training with fitting and teaching patients to use all of the Saebo wrist hand orthotics.
