Pediatric Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Our physical and occupational therapists evaluate and treat children for a wide range of orthopedic injuries and conditions, including sprains and strains, fractures, scoliosis, hip dysplasia, congenital abnormalities and more. Services include:
- Injury management and rehabilitation
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- Return to sport training
- Strength, conditioning and agility programs
- Crutch training
Pediatric Neurological and Outpatient Rehabilitation
STARS offers Occupational, Physical and Speech Language therapy services in an outpatient setting. Our specially trained therapists have experience working with children with a wide variety of congenital and acquired conditions. Our goal is to maximize each child’s potential to participate in age appropriate activities through the provision of education and high quality, comprehensive, family centered therapy services through a coordinated team approach.

STARS Jumpstart is a comprehensive program combining Occupational, Physical, and Speech Language therapies in a pre-school setting using early childhood developmental philosophies for children 2 years 6 months to 6 years of age. Therapy services are provided with an interdisciplinary approach using a functional neuro-developmental, sensory, and language based curriculum. Jumpstart meets 3 days per week for 3 hours per day providing intensive therapy with a 1:1 therapist to child ratio.
Criteria for Participation In Jumpstart
- To be eligible, children must be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old.
- Children must demonstrate a need for the intensity of the program and qualify for all disciplines. (Occupational, Physical, and Speech Language Therapy.)
- Children must be medically stable and able to participate in the intensive program without compromising their health or the health of other children.
- Children must be able to participate in activities with peers without demonstrating injurious behaviors to themselves or peers.
- Due to the nature of the program we are unable to accomodate children who have cortical visual impairments in addition to hearing impairments.
Process for placement in Jumpstart
When openings come available, children from the waiting list will be invited to attend a Jumpstart screening. During the screening process, therapists are assessing children’s needs and skills to determine if the level of intensity of the Jumpstart program is appropriate for the child.
