Saint Alphonsus Acute Spine Care

Upon referral to the Acute Spine Clinic you will be evaluated by Dr. Lattin, a physician board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Sports medicine. He completed medical school at West Virginia University, his PM&R residency at University of Virginia, and his sports medicine fellowship at JPS Heath Network.

 Dr. Lattin utilizes the expertise of the STARS Physical Therapists. STARS offers patients a variety of hands-on interventions to restore function and mobility. Individualized treatment may include hands-on soft tissue and joint mobilization. STARS Therapists may also utilize modalities to reduce pain and inflammation such as interferential current and ultrasound. Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS) has experience and expertise in managing spine disorders.


Dr. Lattin is a Physiatrist that specializes in Pain Management and Sports Medicine. He completed Medical school and his residency at West Virginia University and completed his residency at Tarrant County College District.

Treatments may include:

  • Hands-on Manual Therapy 
  • McKenzie Method (Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy/MDT) 
  • Soft tissue and joint mobilization 
  • Therapeutic exercise and core stabilization including therapy-specific pilates exercises 
  • Chiropractic 
  • Posture and body mechanics education
