Barbara Hofeldt, OT/L, is an insomnia and fatigue specialist. She has worked with physicians for years to help patients sleep better. Barbara uses an evidence based technique, called iRest, to aid sleep. Barbara has completed levels 1 and 2 of iRest training. She is also a certified Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra teacher.

Barbara uses various techniques to help people relax. These techniques can help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep throughout the night.

Solutions for Optimal Sleep Performance:

  • Educating patients and caregivers on sleep issues and expectations
  • Addressing secondary conditions that may affect sleep (e.g., pain, decreased range of motion, depression, anxiety)
  • Promoting better sleep by managing smoking, caffeine, diet, and exercise.
  • Establishing routines, including regular times for waking and sleeping
  • Establishing good sleep hygiene (e.g., habits and patterns to facilitate restorative sleep)

What To Expect?

Our sleep therapy program uses one-on-one sessions. The first session is information gathering. We will provide information on regaining restorative sleep. Appointments are initially 1-2 times per week. Other sessions are once a week for a total of 6 to 8 treatments sessions. It is a commitment. A commitment to your health. Sleep impacts every aspect of our health.
