Question: My shoulder hurts when I sleep on it and when I elevate it. How should I treat it?

Answer: Shoulders can be painful due to injuries or can sneak up on
you for no apparent reason. The treatment will depend on the
underlying issue that is causing the pain. Rotator cuff exercises are
often helpful. However, at times, a shoulder can become painful
for other reasons such as, poor posture or neck problems. A good
physical therapist can identify the cause of pain and treat the
